Gear oil makes shifts smoother than OEM all the time and track performance better 2nd to 3rd. On my second change after a dozen track days

    '13 FR-S Turbo running nt+

Posted by A Customer on Jan 28th 2018

I have a '13 FR-S making 480whp and I changed the gear oil in my transmission at 20k miles to Motul Gear 300, and that was a nice improvement over the factory fluid. This time around at 40k miles i decided to try out the CRX 75w90 NT+, and it has made shifting very slick, and even in 35°F temps with a cold start, it shifts very easily. Looking forward to seeing how it prevents wear in the long run, so far it's great and I think I made a good choice.
